British people trying to quit smoking, are under surveillance in connection with reports of 18 smokers, smoking, drugs (Zyban) consumption, which died from mines.
The representative of the manufacturer of Zyban said that more than 15 million people from around the world used these drugs and in clinical trials did not indicate a high risk of death was found.
These tablets are the first anti-smoking drug patented in the UK, which does not contain nicotine.
Drug quality control committee of Great Britain sent an additional warning to doctors, patients on the drug Zyban, through which people can quit smoking.
Developed as an antidepressant, Zyban has shown good results in cases when patients tried to get rid of nicotine addiction. However, the interaction between these drugs and other drugs have not been studied.
Thus, the 21-year-old Carrie Weston, a British Airways flight attendant, died in a hotel room in Nairobi, as a consequence of an epileptic fit after she took Zyban in conjunction with a chlorine-Hin (antimalarial drugs) and hypnotic.
